This privacy policy provides our commitment to privacy for our customers and visitors to our site. We have developed a strong privacy policy to protect your information, whether collected online or otherwise.
Our goal is to meet your mailing needs. We collect personal information from you only that you choose to give to us. Personal information includes contact information such as your name, billing address, and email address; order processing information such as shipping and billing information; and financial and credit information. Your information is collected either by us, or by a third party, such as a dealer or a credit institution, who is under a confidentiality agreement with us.
We are also regulated by Canada Post Corporation. As part of the regulatory relationships, we collect certain information on behalf of Canada Post. To learn more about the Canada Post privacy policy, please visit the Canada Post Privacy Statement.
A cookie is a string of code that provides certain information about your visit to our web site. We use cookies to enhance your convenience and experience in using the site. For example, we use cookies to allow users to log in a password only once on our site; to target the interests of users of our site; and to gather statistical data about visits to our website. We never use cookies to collect personal information about you. At no time do we track your Internet usage, or read private information from your computer.
Our site may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. For session cookies, once you close your browser(s), the cookies simply terminate. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on your hard drive for a certain period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following Internet browser help file directions. If you reject cookies, you may still use our site.
Some of our business partners with links on our website may use cookies as well. Each business partner is governed by its own policy on use of cookies and privacy.
Like most websites, we use log files. Log files are used to store such information as internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, and date/time stamp data. The Log files also contain aggregate information related to web traffic on our site, so that we can analyze trends and administer the site. However, log file information is not linked to your personal information.
We use your information to fulfill your order, including services related to order processing, billing, and shipping. We use information collected on behalf of Canada Post to provide postage meter licensing, meter resetting, and postage payment, or as directed by the Canada Post. We will also use your information to correspond with you, including to respond to your inquiries, and to communicate with you from time to time about your order, products you have purchased, as well as on such topics as changes to postal regulations.
We would also like to send you announcements about other products of FP’s or our partners that you may find of interest and we understand that you might prefer not to receive such announcements. To opt out of these announcements, simply send an email to FP Mailing Solutions requesting to be removed from our mailing lists. Please be sure to include some type of identifying information, such as FP account number, so that we can ensure that we do not send you this type of communication. We will not send you advertising emails unless you have chosen to receive such emails.
We only share your information with third parties based on your request or consent; as needed to fulfill your order (these third parties are controlled by confidentiality agreement); or as needed or required by law. We may also transfer your information if FP Mailing Solutions is acquired or merged with another company.
FP Mailing Solutions takes every precaution to protect personal information you entrust to us, both online and offline.
Personal information you provide on our online registration/order form is protected using industry standard encryption software – SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, you will know that SSL is in use when the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked.
While we use SSL encryption to protect personal information online, we also go to great lengths to protect personal information offline. All of our customers’ personal information is protected in our corporate offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personal information. Employees can only enter our facility with electronic access cards, and log into the network with an individual password. Servers that store personal information are in a secure environment, behind a second-level security door accessible only to personnel with a specific need to access that area. All employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy policies.
Upon your request, we will make available to you personal information we have collected about you. Please mail your request to Customer Service Manager, Francotyp Postalia Canada Inc., 82 Corstate Avenue, Concord ON L4K 4X2. Specify what information you would like to review.
